She began her career at the Institute for Rheumatology, Igalo in Montenegro before moving to London, UK.
With over 18 years of experience in diagnostic laboratories, Biljana specialises in analytical techniques, particularly mass spectrometry and HPLC. Her expertise covers areas such as inherited metabolic disorders, clinical chemistry, and biomarker assay development.
Currently, Biljana serves as a Specialist Biomedical Scientist at St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where she plays a key role in diagnosing and monitoring metabolic disorders.
Previously, Biljana worked at prestigious institutions, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she developed and validated assays for lysosomal and glycogen storage disorders. Her passion for scientific excellence is reflected in her contributions to translational research, scientific presentations, and international collaborations.
