Erdal Ajanović, mr sc. genetike i bioinženjeringa
Center for Pathology, Clinical Centre of Montenegro, Podgorica MontenegroErdal Ajanović was born on March 17, 1993, in Pljevlja. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in Biology from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Montenegro in Podgorica. The following year, he enrolled in specialist studies in Experimental Biology and Biotechnology at the same faculty.
In 2017, he defended his undergraduate thesis and in the same year enrolled in master’s studies at the International BURCH University in Sarajevo, where the entire program was conducted in English.
During his master’s studies, in addition to theoretical knowledge, he also gained practical experience in the fields of molecular biology and genetics. As part of his academic program, he conducted the first population genetics study of the population in Northern Montenegro.
He defended his master’s thesis in 2020 with excellent marks.
Since 2021, he has been employed full-time at the Center for Pathology of the Clinical Center of Montenegro in Podgorica. He actively participated in the establishment of the Department of Molecular Diagnostics and the implementation of molecular testing, which is of great significance for oncology patients.
He is married and a father of two children.
