Tanja Antunović, dr sc. med.-ph
Montenegrin Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, PresidentTanja Antunović graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, specializing in Medical Biochemistry. At the same faculty, she completed her specialization in Medical Biochemistry (2011), sub-specialization in Clinical Immunochemistry (2016), and defended her doctoral dissertation entitled Biochemical Parameters of Oxidative, Nutritional, and Inflammatory Status in Predicting Mortality in Hemodialysis Patients in 2018. and obtained the academic title of Doctor of Medical Sciences – Pharmacy.
She is currently employed at the Center for Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Clinical Center of Montenegro, where she holds the position of Head of the Department for Specific Biochemical Diagnostics.
Tanja Antunović is the author and/or co-author of several scientific papers published in journals from the JCR list, as well as numerous professional communications published in the form of abstracts at national and international conferences. As an invited lecturer, she has presented her scientific and professional results at several national and international events. She is the co-author of the chapter Oxidative Stress, Chronic Inflammation and Biocompatibility in the textbook Hemodialysis by Nikolina Bašić Jukić and collaborators (2018). She has participated in three national research projects.
She is a member of the Montenegrin Society of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (currently serving as President), the European Federation of Laboratory Medicine, the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry, and is listed in the European Register of Specialists in Laboratory Medicine (EuSpLM).
