Ksenija Fumić, prof. dr
Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb, Zagreb, CroatiaKsenija Fumić graduated in Medical Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb.
She earned her PhD in Natural Sciences at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz, Austria.
She currently serves as the Head of the Department for Laboratory Diagnostics of Inherited Metabolic Diseases and Newborn Screening at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb (KBC-Zagreb).
She is a specialist in medical biochemistry, a scientific advisor, and a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb. She is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Her main scientific interest is the diagnostics of inherited metabolic diseases.
She has published 57 papers indexed in the Current Contents database, authored several chapters in university textbooks, and has delivered numerous invited lectures at scientific conferences.
In 2007, she received the Annual Scientific Award from the Croatian Society of Medical Biochemists.
