Božica Kecman, dr med.
Metabolic Department, Mother and Child Health Care Institute of Serbia, Belgrade, SerbiaBožica Kecman holds a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, is a specialist in pediatrics, and a subspecialist in clinical genetics. She is employed at the Institute for Maternal and Child Health Care “Dr Vukan Čupić” as a physician in the Department for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Metabolic Diseases, where she has worked since 2004.
She has attended numerous international postgraduate courses and meetings on inborn errors of metabolism in general, as well as on lysosomal storage disorders and mitochondrial diseases. She is a co-author of 10 papers indexed in the SCI list.
She regularly lectures at Serbian and regional conferences in pediatrics, clinical genetics, and metabolism, and is a researcher in enzyme replacement therapy studies.
She actively participates in SSIEM (Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism) meetings, often presenting posters.
